• Co-developed the Southwest Michigan Science Educators Symposium, hosting over 150 state-wide science teachers in a collaborative learning conference to improve classroom engagement and instruction through shared practices.

• Guided district science department during two curriculum audits and redesigns. 

• Implemented computer based materials and lab equipment, including a technology coaching role in conjunction with my Master’s Thesis.

• Hosted teacher interns and pre-interns with a positive classroom experience and coaching.

• Co-taught chemistry courses for students with special learning needs and learning disabilities.

• Restarted the Portage Northern Science Olympiad Team.

Guatemala City School Instructional Partnership 2015 - 2019

• Led trips to Guatemala City to support students, teachers, and leaders at Apoyate en Mi school. 

• Designed instructional learning for teaching staff with a focus on long term educator growth.

• Developed teacher teams to travel to Apoyate en Mi to deliver professional development. 

Quadcopter Pilot 2017 - Present

• Produced, filmed, and edited building projects to share and promote construction projects through the school district and other events. 

• Hosted drone demo events for elementary school STEM clubs and classes.

Public & Motivational Speaking 1994 - Present

• Shared experiences and learning as an amputee.

• Engaged with regional youth summer camps and school as a runner, hiker, and mountain biker.
